I have always loved mixing masculine silhouettes with feminine detailing. It really isn’t something that every woman can pull off well and you need the right pieces and attitude to do it.
Diane Kruger continually succeeds at the stylish juxtaposition and she did just that at InStyle’s 10th Annual Summer Soiree in West Hollywood. She opted for a complete look from Jason Wu’s Resort 2012 collection: a navy blazer worn over a white pleated bib blouse and black shorts. She accessorized with a black bow tie, a python clutch ($1595) and turquoise and black strappy “Arizona” sandals, all from Jason Wu. I plan on trying this look out next week, as I am always looking for ways to wear my Lanvin for H&M bow tie.

Jason Wu really is taking the fashion world by storm. From his foray into accessories and now swimwear, he is expanding his brand by the season and it really is exciting to watch. His Resort 2012 collection is inspired by a trip to Puerto Rico and the rich hues of its capital, San Juan.
The collection is a perfect balance between feminine and sporty and shows a variety of silhouettes from menswear-inspired separates (as shown in Diane Kruger’s look), delicate blouses that work for the office or the weekend when paired with denim, chic knee-length dresses and so much more. The palette includes all shades from neutrals to eye-popping, resort-ready prints. In this collection, Jason really shows that his pieces are much more than just tailored for the ladies who lunch: a hip new crowd including young actresses like Emma Stone will be able to wear his pieces with ease and mix and match as they see fit. I cannot wait to see who wears his pieces next on the red carpet.
